Almaz Tower: an 8-pump station for Better Best

October 15, 20263 min read
Better Best is one of the capital's major developers, and it entrusted the water supply station for Almaz Tower to us. The key requirement was reliability: 200 families must never be left without water, not even for a minute.

About the project

Almaz Tower is a 16-storey premium residential complex by Better Best in Tashkent's Yashnobod district, near Rohat metro station, with 200 apartments. In a building this tall, mains pressure cannot lift water to the upper floors — a continuously running booster station is required.

Our solution

We designed the station with maximum redundancy: one standby pump for every duty pump. Four pumps deliver the water while four more are ready to take over at any moment. Control is cascade-based: one pump runs at low demand, and the others join in turn as consumption rises.
  • 8 × SHIMGE BLT 32-4 vertical multistage pumps (4 duty + 4 standby)
  • SAJ PDH variable frequency drive with cascade control
  • A BMS manifold and a membrane tank

Two months, to the day

The order was placed on 15 November 2024 and assembly began five days later. The station was built and tested in our workshop and handed over on 16 January 2025 — on the exact agreed date. Today the 200 apartments of Almaz Tower get their water through the BMS station, which carries a 24-month warranty.
