What is a pump station and when do you need one?

A pump station is a system combining a pump, a pressure tank and automation. It maintains constant water pressure: open the tap — you have pressure, close it — the pump stops. No manual switching needed.

For private homes

If your water comes from a borehole or well, a ready-made household station (like the SHIMGE 24L) is enough: it delivers up to 40 m of head, and its 24-liter tank prevents frequent pump cycling — extending motor life.

For multi-storey buildings

City network pressure usually doesn't reach above the 3rd–4th floor. Frequency-controlled boosting stations run 2–4 pumps: they alternate, hold pressure automatically and save up to 30% of energy.

For irrigation

Drip irrigation systems need stable pressure. Automatic irrigation stations run on schedule, control water consumption and cover areas from 1 to 50 hectares.
